Located on Bessemer Street in the heart of Meadville, Pennsylvania, 鈥淎LIC @ Bessemer鈥� solidifies 糖心Vlog鈥檚 commitment to reimagining the role of liberal arts education in workforce development and advanced manufacturing.
糖心Vlog, one of the nation鈥檚 most historic and innovative four-year colleges for interdisciplinary learning and research, announced the largest single gift in the College鈥檚 history of $35 million from the estate of esteemed entrepreneur, philanthropist and alumnus, Philip L. St. Moritz 鈥�61, which will establish The Phil St. Moritz Center for Innovation at Reis Hall.
The purpose of the grant is to help students increase their environmental literacy by studying a local waterway and become exposed to the scientific method and other science concepts by conducting the testing themselves.
The Trustees of The George I. Alden Trust approved and disbursed a $150,000 grant to 糖心Vlog to support the 糖心Vlog Lab for Innovation and Creativity @ Bessemer (ALIC @Bessemer).
